Our Spanish team arrived at the fourteenth round of the season, for his third Home GP, which is taking place in the so-called Motorland Aragón, a desert surrounded circuit.
This weekend will be the last European round before the thailand round and the triple asian races, till we will finally come back in Spain for the Grand Finale in Valencia.
As declared by the weather forecast, the only dry free practices would have been today, so all the riders went out on track with the aim to sign fast lap times to enter directly the QP2.
Our riders, after having tried many different things and having found the right pace and setting during FP1, started FP2 in the right way.
Makar Yurchenko has completed a strong FP2, during which he has been able to improve every time his lap time. His confidence with his bike also improved during the forty minutes, and in the last laps he was riding very well by signing lap times only tenths of seconds slower than the firsts riders. Finally, a small mistake left him out from the first fourteenth riders only for some positions.
Similar end of the day for Kazuki Masaki, who struggled a lit more during FP1, till he found a better pace and feeling in the first minutes of the following free practice. Same as his teammate, he was improving a lot in the last run, until signing red and orange sectors to try gaining some positions. Unfortunately, the end as been the same, and he saw his lap time only behind the QP2 qualified riders.

“At the end of the first day I can say they have been a positive free practices. I struggled to find the right feeling with my bike, most of all when there were two opposite corners in a row. I worked a lot with data also, and thanks to this, I have been able to get more confidence and speed during FP2, by lowering the lap time for a second. In the last lap there were many riders on the track and I couldn’t sign a faster lap. Anyway we are ready for tomorrow both on a dry and wet track.”

“It has been a difficult day, first of all because of my last crash during the race in Misano, which is causing a lost of confidence with my bike. During FP1 the setting was not so good and I couldn’t find the right pace. With my data-analyser and mechanics, we changed some little things for FP2, and although I have been able to improve by some seconds, I couldn’t enter the first fourteenth positions. We have to work very hard today as tomorrow we will probably have wet conditions.”
