BOÉ Motorsports continues to add good results in the Moto3 World Championship. The team led by José Ángel Gutiérrez Boé has finished the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in a positive way, where the team has once again scored a new top 10.
After a weekend in which the times were very close between all the riders in the category, BOÉ Motorsports with David Muñoz and Ana Carrasco improved their times day by day since Friday and were able to arrive on Sunday in a good shape for a race that looked to be complicated.
David Muñoz, who started from tenth position, began the race with great enthusiasm and moved up two positions on the first lap, but from the beginning of the race the leading group escaped and a large second group of riders was formed in which Muñoz was one of the leaders.
As the laps went by, the Andalusian rider managed to set a good pace in the group and was able to secure another top 10 finish, crossing the line in ninth position. Muñoz, after missing four races due to injury, has now accumulated four consecutive races scoring points with very good performances at the front.
In the case of Ana Carrasco, the rider from Murcia had a difficult start, but as the laps went by she managed to find the right feeling to be able to get a competitive pace. Finally, Carrasco finished the race in 25th position.
David Muñoz:“We finished a complicated weekend for us in which we couldn’t finish where we wanted to. We have to do a ‘reset’ and come back stronger in Barcelona to fight for the podium. I think we can improve on the set-up, and both myself and the team will work to make a step forward. Ana Carrasco:“It was a difficult race, especially at the start. I struggled to find the pace in the first few laps but from the middle of the race onwards I was able to recover and get into a good pace at the end of the race. Overall it wasn’t our best weekend, but we worked well and improved on points that will help us for the next race. As always, I want to thank the team for their hard work and dedication during the weekend. See you in Montmeló!”
The next Grand Prix will be held at the Barcelona – Catalunya Circuit, during the weekend of 2 and 3 September.
