The Australian rider joins the Spanish team and will partner David Muñoz next season
BOÉ Motorsports has closed the signing of its two riders for the 2024 season. Following the announcement of David Muñoz’s renewal, the other rider to complete the team’s line-up will be Joel Kelso.
The Australian rider is looking forward to joining the team directed by José Ángel Gutiérrez Boé. Currently, Kelso has a total of 20 points in the Moto3 World Championship, and comes with a very good track record behind him: Joel Kelso, after being Australian champion, went to compete in the Italian championship, where he was constantly among the fastest, and later made the jump to the FIM JuniorGP championship.
In the FIM JuniorGP World Championship, Kelso had a very good upward trajectory and in his last season he achieved very good results with the Moto3 bike, including victories in Portugal, Misano and Valencia.
After four wild cards in 2021 in the Moto3 World Championship, in 2022 he made his first full season in the World Championship, where he scored 36 points. After the current 2023 season, Joel will face his third year in the category with BOÉ Motorsports, looking forward to consolidating his position as one of the fastest riders.
