BOÉ Motorsports continues to improve with the rider from Murcia, who was very competitive in the practice sessions and moved up from twenty-seventh to twentieth position
BOÉ Motorsports continues to grow with Ana Carrasco. The French Grand Prix has been very positive for the whole team with constant improvements throughout the weekend from the first practice sessions.
While in practice 1 on Friday Ana set a fastest lap of 1:44.971, the BOÉ Motorsports rider managed to improve this time in the following practice by almost two seconds (1:43.036) and finished Friday as the seventeenth fastest rider of the day.
On Saturday the team continued with this good line of work and Ana Carrasco’s fastest time in Q1 left her just a few thousandths of a second away from qualifying for Q2, but race direction cancelled this fastest lap due to yellow flags.
Carrasco had to start from 27th position and from the beginning she set a good pace that allowed her to gain positions until she crossed the finish line in 20th place.
Ana Carrasco:“I am happy with the weekend in general, I think it was by far our best Grand Prix of the season. I felt very good with the bike and the circuit from Friday and we did a good job. It was a pity that yesterday my fastest lap in Q1 was cancelled due to a yellow flag and we had to start the race from the back. At the start I tried to stay in the group but I had a couple of spills and I got a little bit off the pace, I had a good rhythm and I was able to pass some riders but I’m not happy with the final result of the race. We have to keep the positives and know that we have taken a big step this weekend, now we are going to disconnect for three weeks, and work hard to consolidate a little more in Mugello. I want to thank the whole team because they have done an incredible job and because little by little we are getting to where we want to be, see you in Mugello!”
The next Grand Prix will take place during the weekend of 10-11 June at the Mugello circuit in Italy.
