BOÉ Motorsports took its first pole position of the season with David Muñoz, who broke the circuit record with a time of 1:41.181
The Dutch Grand Prix reaches its most decisive part and BOÉ Motorsports has established itself as one of the favourite teams to fight for the victory in tomorrow’s race.
David Muñoz has achieved his first pole position in the Moto3 World Championship in Assen, a great result that, in addition, has been achieved with the track record thanks to a best lap of 1:41.181.
The Andalusian rider qualified directly for Q2 after a great performance in practice on Friday and Saturday, in which he was always among the front runners, showing good pace and the ability to set really fast laps.
Despite his long injury lay-off, Muñoz has returned with the desire to fight for victories again.
Ana Carrasco improved her best lap time in Q1 by more than half a second and was able to finish the session in twelfth position. The rider from Murcia continues to improve her lap times and feeling, and hopes to take another step forward in tomorrow’s race.
David Muñoz:“It’s been a very good weekend so far. Tomorrow we will start from pole position and fight for the win, which is what we are looking for every weekend. I am very happy with the result and with my lap. I want to thank the team for the great job they are doing”.
Ana Carrasco:“It has not been an easy weekend. This is a circuit that I like but it’s costing us a little bit. I think we improved from yesterday to today, but it wasn’t enough. We will keep working to make another step forward tomorrow and to be in the group during the race. Congratulations to David and the whole team for today’s pole!”
The Moto3 race of the Dutch Grand Prix will start at eleven o’clock in the morning.
