The Spanish rider has completed a very solid weekend in which he has always been among the fastest riders. Ana Carrasco finished in 22nd position
The Japanese Grand Prix has come to an end with another great result for BOÉ Motorsports. The Spanish team continues to accumulate very positive races and to score important consecutive points. This weekend, once again, David Muñoz has been among the best and Ana Carrasco has maintained a good growth since Friday.
David Muñoz, who started from eighth position on the grid, was in the second group of the race from the beginning, fighting with a large group of up to seven rivals, a group in which Muñoz ended up being the first to cross the finish line.
In addition, the BOÉ Motorsports rider, after constant battles throughout the race, started the last lap in ninth position. Despite this, Muñoz did a great lap with a better performance than his rivals which allowed him to finish in sixth place. Since David Muñoz returned from injury, eight races have been run and only one of them he has not scored: the one in which he was knocked down in the last corner fighting for the podium in Barcelona, a fact that shows the great perseverance of the Spaniard.
Ana Carrasco has also been very combative throughout the weekend. She has improved her lap times in every session since Friday and gained positions again in the race, so she continues to show positive signs of growth. After starting from 25th position, Carrasco fought in a group of seven riders and crossed the finish line in 22nd position.
David Muñoz:“The weekend has ended with a bit of a bittersweet taste. Yesterday and Friday we had a very good feeling, but we are on the right track to get podiums and victories, we keep adding race after race. We have to keep working like this, thank you very much to all the team for their work, we will try again in Indonesia”.
Ana Carrasco:“Today we had a good race. I had a good start and I was fighting the whole race in a group of 6-7 riders and riding at a good pace. I felt very good, but it’s a pity I made a mistake in turn eleven, I went wide and lost a few metres that I couldn’t recover. Even so, I think we were quite competitive this weekend and we worked very well. We will try to continue to make progress in Indonesia. Thanks to the team for all the work”.
The next Grand Prix will be held in Indonesia, during the weekend of 14-15 October.
