The Spanish team completed a positive Saturday with tenth place for David Muñoz in Q2 and twelfth for Ana Carrasco in Q1

The Austrian Grand Prix has entered its most decisive part at the Red Bull Ring. After the Moto3 qualifying sessions BOÉ Motorsports has completed a positive day which has reflected a good growth compared to Friday’s practices.

While on Friday David Muñoz could only finish twenty-first in the combined qualifying of practices 1 and 2 with a best time of 1:43.075, the Andalusian rider managed to make a step forward in practice 3 where he finished as the eighth fastest rider and went straight into Q2 with a best lap of 1:41.709.

With these good sensations, Muñoz had a solid performance in Q2 in which he completed a best lap of 1:42.093 that will allow him to start tomorrow from tenth on the grid.

Ana Carrasco also showed a lot of improvement from Friday to Saturday. The BOÉ Motorsports rider set a best time of 1:43.532 on the first day of practice and today she was the twelfth fastest rider in Q1 with a 1:43.111 lap.

David Muñoz:“Saturday started quite well because we made a good step forward in the morning session. In Q2 we had some problems, I wasn’t quite comfortable, but we know what we have to do and we will improve for tomorrow for sure. We start in tenth position and I hope we can fight for the win with the improvements we can make for tomorrow. We are working in a good direction, so I want to thank the team”.

Ana Carrasco:“It’s not been an easy weekend, we are working hard with the team and improving every time we go out on track. I think we have a good set-up, although we will try to find improvements for tomorrow’s race. We are all very tight on times, so I think if we have a good first lap we can fight in a good group in the race”.

The Moto3 race of the Austrian Grand Prix will start at 11 AM and will have a distance of 20 laps.
