The BOÉ Motorsports rider was twenty-second after a great fight for the top 20

The Spanish Grand Prix has come to an end at the Jerez – Ángel Nieto circuit, where BOÉ Motorsports has once again shown its good level throughout the weekend.

After David Muñoz crashed on Saturday after finishing the qualifying session in third position, Ana Carrasco became the only BOÉ Motorsports representative on the grid, as David Muñoz will have to undergo a surgery and start the recovery period after his heel bone injury in his left foot.

Ana Carrasco has once again completed a really solid weekend with clear improvements that are being reflected thanks to the constant work being done by the whole team. The rider from Murcia has done in this edition of the Grand Prix of Spain a personal fastest lap almost a second and a half faster than last season and her overall race time has also improved considerably, in fact, her distance to the points positions is getting smaller and smaller.

In the race, Ana was able to fight for all the laps with a large group of riders, a group that she led for a large part of the race. In the end, the BOÉ Motorsports rider crossed the finish line in 22nd position.

Ana Carrasco: “It has been a positive weekend. On Friday in the first practice we started a little bit behind, but we improved session after session, getting closer to the times of the front runners. Today I expected the race to be a bit better, but I made a couple of mistakes at the beginning and I lost the front group. I stayed fighting in another group and did everything I could to get a good position. Overall I’m happy, I think the team worked really well, we had a lot of sponsors supporting us here. Hopefully we can continue to improve at Le Mans, which is a track I like and I am quite good at. The objective is to try to improve on Saturdays, because if we qualify a bit better, we usually have a good pace on Sunday. Thank you very much to all the fans, to all the people who came to cheer us on, we really enjoyed the atmosphere”.

The next Grand Prix will be held on the weekend of 13 and 14 May at the Le Mans circuit in France.
