David Muñoz will start the Japanese Grand Prix from eighth position, while Ana Carrasco will start from 25th

BOÉ Motorsports is still in great shape and, after the positive Grand Prix of India, in Motegi the riders of the team led by José Ángel Gutiérrez Boé continue to be strong and eager to keep working to achieve the best possible result on Sunday.

Since the beginning of the Grand Prix, David Muñoz has been one of the fastest riders. In the first practice of the weekend Muñoz was second, and in the combined of the three practices he was seventh fastest, qualifying directly for Q2.

Ana Carrasco has been very consistent with her improvements: in one day she has improved by more than a second. Her best time in the first practice was 1:59.841, and in all the following sessions she improved her time: in the second practice she dropped six tenths, two more in the third and in Q1 she set a best time of 1:58.735.

After Q1 came Q2, a session in which David Muñoz started in very good form as he was first at the start. The Spanish rider couldn’t improve this lap in 1:56.892 which will allow him to start tomorrow from eighth position.

David Muñoz:“The weekend is going quite well. I’m focusing on working with my team for me, to get more data, and I think we are doing really well. Tomorrow we will start the race in a good position and I think we can be at the front. Thank you very much to the team for the work and to all the people who support me, I think that tomorrow we will show our full potential”.

Ana Carrasco:“Today we improved a lot. In this circuit from the first practice I felt pretty good, we have been working on the bike and improving every session. In Q1 I pushed hard at the start to try to get a good lap early. I think I have a good pace, so I hope to make a good start tomorrow and follow the group”.

Tomorrow’s race at Motegi will start at five o’clock in the morning in Spain and twelve o’clock in Japan.
