After having analysed yesterday’s data and having solved the problems the bikes had, our riders went out on track for the last free practice session with strong feelings.

Both Kazuki and Yurchenko have done some laps keeping a constant and competitive pace, in which they have been able to adjust the last details.

Our Kazuki has been able to sign a good lap times which gave him the possibility to go straight to QP2.

On the other hand, Yurchenko made a little mistake when he was doing is last flying lap, but even so, he was just behind first riders’ lap time.

During QP1, Makar Yurchenko went out on track with used tyres to do some sighting laps. The strategy was to make a change in the last minutes to sign faster lap times, but due to the lose of time in the sectors, there has been no possibility to change the tyres.

He ended up the thirteenth and he well start from the twenty-seventh position of the grid.

Contrary, Kazuki Masaki, who was ready to give his best in the QP2, like his results in FP3, suffered a big highside in the last corner of the out lap, and he was unable to come back on track.

Fortunately, it has only been a big crash without consequences, and after having made a check up in the hospital, he has been declared fit to race.

#22 KAZUKI MASAKI P.17

“Today has been both a positive and negative day for us. I started the morning with a strong feeling and I was confident about my possible results. In fact, during FP3 I signed good lap times and I was improving lap by lap, and I have been able to ended up the eleventh, by obtaining an important pass to go straight to QP2. During qualifying practice, track’s conditions were quite different but I was almost sure that my result could have been positive. Unfortunately I crashed in the out lap and it has been impossible for me to come back on track”.

#76 MAKAR YURCHENKO P.26

“Second day here has been quite positive. This morning during FP3 we made three run, and I was improving all the time, as we were changing little things each run. Finally, in the last run I was signing red sectors, that is to say it would have been the best lap time overall, but unfortunately I made a mistake in one of the last corners and I lost time. During QP1 we made a big mistake with the strategy and we have not been able to pass into QP2. I’m very disappointed because today my pace was good and it could have been a chance to be in the firsts positions.”
