After starting from pole position, David Muñoz led most of the race and fought for the victory until the end. The Andalusian rider finished fifth, while Ana Carrasco came from behind to finish 24th

After three consecutive weeks of racing, BOÉ Motorsports arrives at the summer break with a good taste in their mouths after a great weekend in Assen.

BOÉ Motorsports has been one of the most outstanding teams of this Grand Prix after a weekend in which it has not been separated at any time from the top positions with David Muñoz, who yesterday took pole and set the circuit record.

In today’s race both David Muñoz and Ana Carrasco had very positive performances. Muñoz has shown himself to be one of the candidates for victory from the start. The Andalusian rider led the race for several laps, fought for the victory until the last corner and crossed the finish line in fifth position.

For her part, Ana Carrasco made a good start and moved up several positions, but a crash in front of her caused her to lose ground on the front group. Even so, the BOÉ Motorsports rider gained positions and finished 24th.

David Muñoz:“We had one of our best weekends. We fought until the last moment, although in the end the reward was not what we wanted, but now it’s time to rest and I’m sure it will go well at Silverstone. Yesterday we took pole position with a great lap and today I had some good fights, although I made some mistakes during the race. The podium or the victory is within our reach, we have been doing a great job for a long time with the whole team, so I am very grateful to them”.

Ana Carrasco: “I had a good start and I felt good, I had a good feeling and I felt I was able to be in the group. On the third or fourth lap there was a crash of two riders just in front of me, and this made me lose time in front of the group. I tried to make up the distance I had lost but it was impossible, it was quite windy and without slipstream it was difficult. Even so, I want to keep the positive, now it’s time to disconnect for a few days and get back to full training to come back to Silverstone in five weeks stronger. Thanks to the team for all the work, we are on the right track and I am looking forward to give them a good result”.

The next Grand Prix will be held at Silverstone on the weekend of 5-6 August.
